Meister, you are really poisoning me. I've always wanted God Ginrai. And you have all three versions! But money being constraint so put other figures as priorities first. Huuuuu derma la satu.

Again a very cool gallery. One think I don't understand why they have to make the normal reissue God Ginrai's hands blue instead of red like the original one. If they have to change something to blue color they could at least make his optics blue.

Prime85, in 1988, Hasbro released Powermaster Optimus Prime.
The mold did not have retractable fists, and also no die cast parts. It was a cost-saving move on Hasbro's part.
But in Japan, Takara released Super Ginrai under the Masterforce line. Which had retractable super-robot fists, a die-cast metal cab with translucent blue plastic windows, shortened smokestacks, a more metallic grey plastic, chrome on the Godmaster Ginrai engine, and silver paint rather than stickers for the small robot's upper legs.

That's is why the reissue has retractable fists and die cast, as that is what the original Takara toy had when it was produced in 1988.

Thanx for the info Meister. You can be a spokesperson on Transformers history. Hehe

Anyway, yeah I know Powermaster Prime had the non-retractable red fists but I thought Masterforce Super Ginrai had the same. So no wonder the reissue has blue retractable fists. Actually the blue fists would do too. Kinda makes it look like G1 Prime's hand. (the opticsss...why didnt they make it blue like some of the encores..huhu..hehe )

No problem, bro!
The blue fists do make Super Ginrai more like G1 Convoy, but the funny thing is, in the Masterforce anime, Super Ginrai had red fists...
I agree with you, if the Super Ginrai head's eyes were blue, it would be perfect.
I think in this reissue, the small Ginrai robot's eyes were recoloured blue. They were red in 1988. Takara should have just gone the extra mile and painted the big head's eyes blue as well.
Well, maybe they will release God Ginrai again in the Encore series and give him proper colours...
