If TransMY to organise and run a TF convention, what do u guys wanna see the most? what are the your ideas and how do you define an 'ideal convention with a malaysian centric'?

Honest feedbacks please as this will be ideas of transmy future gatherings.

I think a custome repaint and kitbash contest would be great, since some guys already doing it!!! Not me, I can't even paint a Kiroro

Apparently we at TransMY is working on some ideas for our upcoming 3rd Gathering, yet we wanna do something different that will blow everyone away. All I can say, we are gonna make one gathering that YOU fans will never forget!

So fill in the ideas, lets your mind speak and we shall see if we can combine all these ideas and make into one!

maybe we can make made the convention or 3rd gathering with theme... b4 this we don't have any theme to guide us to... maybe we should start with 3rd gath... as simple by Generation of TFs...

If started with G1 theme... as i see in G1 got many figure... and bot city in the Generation... maybe... i said maybe, with participation of all members we can make diorama of scene or close to that...

just my 2 cent... after that G2... Beast Wars... Beast Machines... or maybe can be done by character... such as 3rd gathering : Prime Convention... bring OP by generation or series... etc...

thehehe... aku throw in apa saja... u guys pick up, match it, rojak it... and make it happen...

ps:- maybe we should make a list all kind of activities that come across to our mind... go... go...

Takato, infact that was one of the earliest idea we had, might be able to do too. Activity wise, any add ups?

Well since TF is big this year due to the movie why don't we make the 3rd gathering theme to be TF live action movie, we can have it during the premier of the movie.

Another thing i want to see in a convention is buy/trade toys (both old and new)section but not until it become a heaven for scalpers and hoarders.

Trying to tell local hasbro to do so just, imo pushing our luck, since they only know how to distribute :/.

Anyway I am all for it if it happens. Showcase of movie toys ? Awesome. But please don't put up the US version of TF GF intro, it....yuck.

Convention...TF only?I dunno..don't mean to b -ve but if we r ready for it then y should't...We must!
But my suggestion is y not join wit other parties 1st b4 we can do a TF standalone gig.
Like latest 1 coming iz the game&amp;anime festival@Sg.wang dis weekend 16-18march.Its kinda 2 late oredi 4 transmy to join but next year mayb,in the future y not kan?
But of coz there must b a lot 2 consider when organizing big gathering such as the cost,venue,the turn up &amp; sambutan dll.Well i think sure together we can come up with ideas on how to raise fund 4 big event(well such as donation,auction)

sg wang always be the place where hobby lover show off their stuff... as far i remember cosplay has been like annual event there... the event even covered in local magazine... and last time also i remember got yu-gi-oh magic card contest over there too...

maybe... i said just maybe next time we can used this as one of the platform to promote Transmy... like gudjinrai said... otak akupon da nak cramp nie... thehehe...

Well, guys...all I can say, you don't need to think about venues and sponsors and budgets...rest assure we are trying to come up with something this year as they say 2007, &quot;its the year of the transformers&quot;.

how about bring some ppl from hasbro/takara or both and have forum discussion (not online of coz) with transmyians during the convention/3rd gath?

my contest ideas...

prior to the convention, how about make a contest to write a short fanfic (any tf series e.g g1,bw etc) then the winner shall be announced during the convention?

also, how about creating a tf pop quiz (with choices of answers from a to c or a to d display on screen)?

e.g question: who is the girlfriend of ironhide?
a. elita-1
b. chromia
c. moonracer
d. firestar

winner shall receive free tf movie tix, a collection of complete cybertron legends class figures etc.

another contest, how about having a fastest transformation contest (without using manual)? e.g: given the alternator ravage and transform it as fast as u can to jaguar mode. then the referee will check if it's ok. after that, transform it back to car mode as fast as u can. from there, referee will calculate the time spent &amp; decide the winner. the winner will get that tf for free!

how about having an auction since some transmyians didn't have ebay account....? well i do believe this kind of ppl knows how ebay works but it's just that they didn't know about the paypal (for example), how to register, the benefit, how to do this, to do that bla bla bla....
